Nick LeDonne
Self described as "The Happiest Person to Talk About Depression," LeDonne is an animator, author, and mental health advocate.
Previously he was an animator on "Blue's Clues and You" at Nickelodeon, and a professor at the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design and Rutgers University. Currently he works as a freelance animator and speaker in Las Vegas. His award-winning animated short films "Hanging" and "Dear Dad" have screened in 30 countries including the Catalina Film Festival, Animation Day in Cannes, Canadian Mental Health Association's National Conference, and the European Congress of Psychiatry. His third short film, "Reaching OUT" is currently in production for an end of 2021 release date. All three of LeDonne's animated short films retell personal life stories on depression, loss, and LGBTQ acceptance to raise awareness on mental health topics. LeDonne mixes his passion for art and health in his new, Barnes & Noble best-selling book and speaker program, "From Hanging to Hang ON." As a storyteller across film, writing, and speaking, he uses his talents to spark life-saving conversations on youth suicide prevention. |
