ART OF ANIMATION
To compliment his "From Hanging to Hang ON" presentations for high-school and older audiences, Nick enjoys visiting local K-12 schools during his speaker trips to give a bigger impact in the community.
For "Hang ON" presentations booked requiring travel accommodation, Nick can donate his time for a free youth event in the area to talk about how cartoons are created. "Art of Animation" events are coordinated to be in the same timeline of the "Hang ON" travel itinerary. |

Students gain an understanding of the animation process and get to draw their own cartoon character.
PART 1 - The Animated Lesson (20 min)
LeDonne introduces the classroom to his reel from Nickelodeon's "Blue's Clues." He then breaks down the creative process of how animated cartoons are made showing educational examples of storyboards, visual development, 3D modeling, rigging, and the final character animation from popular animated films. He also brings a few kids up to test out some of the 3D sculpting and animation software for an interactive experience. PART 2 - "Mad Libs" Character Design (25 min) Once the students learn how films are made, they get to join in the fun. LeDonne leads the audience in a "Mad Libs" style character design, taking outbursts from the crowd to create a one of a kind cartoon. Once the brainstorming session is wrapped up, Nick gives a live demo on how to draw the kid's newly imagined character in a follow-along approach. |
"MAD LIBS" CARTOONS
Nick creates on-the-spot characters from random outburst of animals, features, emotions, careers, and whatever else is in the imagination of the elementary audience. It's a wild time.
